The project CORE – Conceptualizing Oppression-Related Emotions – integrates women’s and gender studies, philosophy, and psychology to address a situation in which women and other marginalized groups experience higher levels of distress from acts of violence and oppression than others. These encounters can have a profound impact on mental and physical health, while also providing a critical opportunity for positive social change.
